Aerotek Process Technician in Utica, Michigan

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Candidates will be performing Process Tech Duties. They will be Communicating with preceding Supervisor concerning mold changes, problem areas, etc., Coordinating employees with job duties, Maintaining required records of the molding department, Take corrective actions to bring processes under control and report changes to the proper employees, minor machine maintenance, doing start-ups, shut-downs and troubleshooting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain conduct in a professional manner.

  • Complete all required documentation based on Procedures and Work Instructions to meet TS-16949 requirements in your area

  • Process Monitoring and set up master processes.

  • Set Tools

  • Encourage and support direct and indirect labor training and cross training and continuous improvement

  • Maintain a work environment to reduce employee turn-over and increase employee tenure

  • Insure work cell and manufacturing efficiency to insure program and part planned efficiency is met

  • Monitor and take necessary steps to reduce internal scrap through effective trouble shooting methods (8D, Design of Experiment, etc.)

  • Perform duties as instructed by your supervision.

  • Assist in the development of plant layout in accordance with Lean Manufacturing principles

  • Monitor all SPC on molding machines.

SHIFT:

2nd Shift: 3pm - 11pm

OT is optional and can pick up extra Saturdays if wanted. Only worked 4 Sundays last year.

OT before and after shift. currently on 60 hours.

Must Haves:

  • 3+ Years Process Technician in Injection Molding

  • Troubleshooting (Being able to find the cause of a problem and make adjustments)

  • Startups and Shutdowns of Machinery

  • Knowledge with Hot runners and Valve gates
