As part of our Connect team, you will be part of a product that is used by hundreds of thousands of users, you will be resolving challenges of the cloud storage solution that allows individuals and teams to organize, preview, and share any type of design or model data. You will part of the evolution breaking APIs and transforming them into the new Cloud model.

The successful candidate has a strong sense of ownership and is able to drive projects through completion. They are well versed in modern automation frameworks that will be used to build supportive services used by our internal customer base. This role can be located in San Francisco or Portland. This will be a hybrid model.


  • Work closely with architects and technical product managers to design and architect secure, scalable, and maintainable front-end applications

  • Research and analyze existing architecture and back-end code to make enhancements or resolve defects and performance issues

  • Develop technical standards and high-quality code following unit testing and test-driven development

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document software, and enhance existing components to ensure that software meets business needs

  • Engage in an on-call rotation to support production systems​

  • Apply technical expertise to propose solutions for challenging programming and design problems in a distributed environment

  • Self-starter, passionate about learning new technologies and solving business problems

  • Participate in software design reviews, you conduct peer code reviews, and provide input and feedback to other members of the development team

  • Coach and mentor less experienced developers

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience as a software developer or related field

  • Production experience in building scalable front-end systems design and large-scale cloud-based Infrastructure technologies (AWS preferred)

  • Extensive experience with HTML5, CSS and frameworks (eg. Bootstrap), JavaScript and frameworks (Node.js, Express.js, Angular, jQuery, Chai, Mocha)

  • Experience with Java and scripting languages (eg. Python, TypeScript, Shell scripting)

  • Extensive experience consuming and implementing REST APIs

  • Experience with PL/SQL and databases such as MarkLogic, Oracle, Redis and MySQL

  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations (Karma and Jenkins preferred)

  • Experience using Docker to build containerized applications

  • Ability to understand problems, think critically, and devise solutions

  • Analytic, curious and perseverant when facing challenges

  • Hands on technical leadership experience leading project teams and setting technical direction

  • Strong technical communication and experience working with technical customers

  • Experience with Agile software development practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with load testing frameworks such as JMeter, Locust or BlazeMeter

  • Experience with Swaggers is a plus

  • Autodesk products knowledge/experience
