JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
As Penn State continues a record-setting campaign, A Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence, a Alumni Relations and Stewardship Officer 2 is needed to support the Division of Development and Alumni Relations in College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. This position serves as the Assistant Director of Stewardship and implements and executes a comprehensive stewardship plan for the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences.
In addition to overall management, specific responsibilities include:
Designing, producing, writing and sending all stewardship communications
Monitoring processes, recording and adhering to metrics
Guiding the five departments and three institutes in their stewardship responsibilities and assisting with the goal setting process
Coordinating the facilities naming process, ensuring that all documents are properly submitted and recorded while monitoring gifts and pledges that have a naming component
Providing assistance in fundraising programs and various activities that result in generating funds for the college
Coordinating and administration of donor engagement, athletic activities, campus visits and special events including the annual Obelisk Society dinner
Managing membership, data, tracking and updates of Obelisk donors to include correspondence, gifts, materials, bios and approvals
Implementing a strategy to steward corporate, foundation and friend donors in multiple ways
Tracking, monitoring, and acknowledging matching gifts donors acquire from their employers
Focusing on engaging student recipients with donors and managing the visit
Enhancing donor engagement with photos and videos for meaningful stewardship
Serving as liaison to the Development Council Stewardship Subcommittee by managing their goals, outreach and presentations
This position typically requires an Bachelor’s degree or higher plus 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. For full consideration, please submit a cover letter and a resume.
