Dotmatics Ltd. Account Manager in UK (Remote-working), United Kingdom

The role: We are looking for a highly motivated software salesperson to close new business and manage existing accounts. You will sell scientific software to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and educational sector in the North of England and Nordic countries.

  • Drive software sales activity and within Dotmatics’ SMB target and existing accounts

  • Prospect new business and close net new revenue and logos

  • Manage existing accounts and revenue retention

  • Consistently meet and exceed sales targets including new customer acquisition and customer retention

  • Responsible for complex sales cycles including successful contract negotiations

  • Collaborate with the Sales Development Team to drive successful sales results

  • Drive attendance to Dotmatics User Group Meetings (UGMs) and other Dotmatics’ events

  • Confidently predict and articulate Dotmatics’ vision to customers

  • Provide excellent customer service and ability to build and maintain client relationships

  • Make accurate and rapid cost calculations and provide customers with quotations

  • Maintain an accurate forecast and document all activities in Salesforce

  • Represent Dotmatics at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations

  • 6+ years of technology sales experience, SaaS and/or scientific software preferred

  • Thorough understanding of the SMB software sales process

  • Demonstrable experience of closing complex software sales preferred

  • BA, MSc in Biology, Chemistry, or compensatory experience preferred

  • Experience of laboratory informatics, LIMs, ELNs, etc preferred

  • Willing to travel as required by the job

  • Previous experience in the Chemistry, Biology or IT industries required

  • Experience of Salesforce or other CRM required

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
