Magellan Midstream Partners Engineer Electrical in Tulsa, Oklahoma
This position involves the management of budget initiatives for the preventive and predictive maintenance of large medium voltage motors, starters, variable speed drives, transformers, and motor control centers. This position will support and give technical assistance as the electrical subject matter expert for Field Technicians, Operations, and Project Managers on electrical design, operation, and compliance issues. Additionally, the position will also provide project management related to the replacement and upgrade of existing equipment.
The incumbent works under limited supervision and performs a full range of responsibilities within the Engineer Electrical group. Although guidelines are established, the Engineer III Electrical position requires the ability to deal with anomalies on a regular basis.
Produce scope, project plan, cost estimate, AFE form, schedule, MOCR ( Management of Change Request) documents and others to help with the process of project identification and evaluation.
Provide technical support to Operations and other Technical Services Groups.
Identify, manage and mitigate project risks (especially related to hazardous materials handling) using the System Integrity Plan (SIP) and good judgment.
Develops and/or modifies equipment maintenance and design practices.
Provide project management related to the replacement of equipment.
Understand and interpret the National Electrical Code (NEC) to ensure that projects are constructed to be in compliance with the same.
Engineering Degree required
5-8 years of relevant working experience
NFPA 70E Training preferred
