Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Must have good problem solving skills & ability to work effectively in a distributed environment

  • Should be proactive in providing solutions, follows coding standards and project plan, estimations, deadlines using Agile methodologies.

  • Have an agile mindset i.e. adapt to frequently changing requirements.

  • Should be collaborative, team player, self motivated, quick learner and quality conscious

  • Effectively communicate status, metrics and issueson a regular basis

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment

  • Interface with IT disciplines, vendors and professional services providers to ensure service level achievement.Shall understand and abide by the organizations’ information security policy and protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all information assets.

  • Shall report incidents related to security of information to concerned authorities.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • UG -Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization OR PG -M.Tech - Any Specialization, MCA - Computers, MS/M.Sc(Science) - Any Specialization

  • Excellent hands on experience (1 year and above) in Ruby on Rails programming, web development etc

  • Good understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful APIs.

  • Sound knowledge of relational database concepts -MySQL, RDBMS, etc

  • Excellent hands on skills in Javascript / Coffee-script / jQuery.

  • Knowledge of test driven development i.e. TDD (Rspec) or BDD (cucumber)

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like GIT, with hands on experience ofbranching, merging code, PRs etc.

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

  • Desire to stay current i.e. up-to date with technology and willingness to learn new things.

Additional Requirements

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of JS frameworks like ReactJS and AngularJS is a bonus.

  • Familiarity with star schema/ reporting database/ BI tools is a plus

  • Experience in high traffic, highly scalable, complex web applications is a plus

  • Familiarity with US Healthcare Remittance cycle is an added advantage
