As an integral part of the Product Management Organization, the Technical Alliance Manager will focus on three alliance categories spanning edge, data center operators and system integrators which cover alliance relationships spanning IBM / RedHat, DXC, Equinix, Cyxtera, CoreSite, vXchnge, Deloitte, Accenture and Morpheus. In this highly strategic role, the Technical Alliance Manager will have the exciting opportunity to implement Lumen’s product strategy with strategic partners by designing and implementing a technical alliance strategy. Effectively engage internal Lumen and Alliance partner leadership to gain top down sponsorship. Develop and execute detailed joint sell through business plans including revenue and customer adoption targets, solutions packaging, and go-to-market plans, etc. The Technical Alliance Manager builds the technical objectives of the Alliance relationship – quantitative and qualitative descriptions of what CenturyLink and the Alliance expect to gain from the relationship. Mentor and support business focused Alliance Managers on technical issues.
The Main Responsibilities
Define, prioritize, and execute the end-to-end GTM strategy for Strategic accounts
Plan the go-to-market launch strategy for new products, new integrations, and feature releases, and manage all cross-functional efforts.
Collaborate with sales, product, product development, partnerships, and success to ensure the feedback from our customers is documented and included in the product roadmap and development plan.
Ensure that partners are effectively complementing Lumen strategy via appropriate market positioning and business investment. Communicate the value proposition of the products to our sales team and work with the design team to develop the sales materials/tools that support the selling process of our products.
Find ways to creatively surface and automate the promotion of product-related revenue drivers
Must be willing to travel and attend in-person tradeshows with customers occasionally post pandem
What We Look For in a Candidate
• 5+ years professional work experience in technical business development, product management, technical product owner or solutions engineering in the cloud / IT space
• Experience planning and actioning multiple, complex programs including development and presentation of due diligence packages
• Demonstrated ability as a product or technology advocate, with the ability to collaborate with engineering, product, sales and marketing teams
• Porous leadership, scrum, Kanban, LEAN experience and broad communication skills – video capture & editing experience is a bonus
• Prior experience working within a large, global organization
