Lilly Senior Supply Chain Analyst in Toronto, Ontario

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Supply Chain Analyst at Lilly Canada, you will manage a diverse portfolio across the product life cycle, from launch to legacy products. You will lead, execute and measure inbound and outbound supply chain processes for Canada and collaborate with multiple internal and external business partners. The scope of your role includes oversight of finished products, supply sites, customs brokers, wholesalers, distribution channels and third party logistics providers. Key responsibilities include:

Maintaining appropriate levels of inventory for all products in your portfolio:

  • Monitoring inventory levels, and reviewing, evaluating and analyzing the impact of business or operations changes to supply and developing action plans to mitigate

  • Performing inventory management duties, such as Safety Stock analysis, SOQ review and monitoring short-dated inventory

  • Working closely with supply sites to monitor shipment plans

  • Proactively identifying products at risk of stock-out; developing and executing action plans to mitigate low supply; maintaining allocations in SAP per the portfolio

  • Actively communicating real or potential supply issues with key internal business partners and management to minimize impact to operations and customers

  • Overseeing launch activities

  • Performing, or ensuring others perform, supply chain controls as outlined in Lilly’s Green Book to maintain Class A certification in Operational Standards in Supply Chain Excellence (OSSCE)

  • Monitoring and minimizing obsolescence for the Portfolio

  • Participating in process improvement projects either locally or globally-driven

Primary contact for supply sites, external partners, and vendors.

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with Lilly’s third party wholesalers, warehouses and suppliers

  • Working with supply sites, customs brokers, third party logistics providers, wholesalers and shared service centre to identify and address performance issues and trends, and overseeing implementation of corrective and preventative (CAPA) measures

  • Replenishing third party warehouse for hospital distribution, resolving customer service issues, identifying performance issues and trends, overseeing implementation of corrective and preventative (CAPA) measures and process improvements, developing customer communications

  • Leading supplier assessments and performance improvement processes including creating and reviewing reports on performance and compliance with specific contractual obligations/metrics

Business partnership

  • Leading monthly Sales and Operations Planning meetings for the portfolio, providing guidance to the business to ensure adequate supply for current and future state

  • Developing and providing management reports, complete data analysis and business rationale on supply chain changes as needed

  • Actively communicate real or potential supply issues and updates to key internal business partners for the Portfolio

  • Providing input on communications for internal and external customers, including weekly backorders, product launches, changes or withdrawals, revised shipping schedules and ad hoc

  • Subject matter expert for inbound and outbound supply chain activities, and providing guidance to and working on strategic initiatives with internal and external partners

  • Applying your expertise to provide analytical insight into wholesaler trends, market demand trends, channel stocking levels and various monthly reporting

Basic Qualificiations:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Supply Chain or a related discipline or a Master’s in Business Administration in Finance or Supply Chain Management

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply planning, demand planning, inventory management and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

  • Deep knowledge and experience with SAP in the Advance Planning and Order to Cash modules

  • Capable of complex business and financial analyses, problem-solving and influencing business decisions

  • Able to build consensus and lead without authority

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational skills

  • Able to deal with a high-stress, fast-paced environment

  • Results-oriented

  • Demonstrates maturity and professionalism

  • Project management

  • Process optimization

  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry is an asset

  • APICS certification is considered an asset
