What you can expect as a Lab Courier:

Lab Courier will act as a courier for the Toppenish and Sunnyside Hospitals. Perform pickup and delivery of lab specimens.

Experience:

  • Current WA State driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.

    Education:

  • High school diploma/GED.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Basic computer

    WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    The work requires regular and recurring physical exertion such as standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crouching, and stretching. The employee must exert 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects and must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds. Requires frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. The work involves recurring exposure to moderate risks which require special safety and health precautions and the use of Personal Protective Equipment; risks such as exposure to contagious diseases, contaminated bodily fluids, sharp instruments, and other contaminants.
