The Clinical Resource Nurse works under direction to provide quality, individualized care that is proactive and coordinates the care delivery team that the patient is attaining their clinical goals. These activities include clinical resource, patient throughput, quality, safety and experience to service the Toledo region, working in multiple hospitals.
Assesses the patient’s condition and nursing needs. Sets goals, prescribes appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals and the physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and rehabilitation needs of the patient.
Communicates accurate information about the patient to the team members, Physician, nursing units, and ancillary departments. Applies basic verbal and non-verbal communication skills to identify and reduce anxiety in the patient and family.
Maintains quality of patient care in compliance with hospital policies, and physician orders.
Able to assist, or circulate cases as needed. Participates in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays.
Use prefessional judgement to accurately and promptly translate nursing decision and physician orders into action, and demonstrates proficiency in the required nursing skills
Upholds regulatory requirements, including all federal, state, and the Joint Commission regulations.
Participate in ongoing quality assessment and performance programs assigned to unit/patient needs
Demonstrates behaviors that are consistant with Mercy's Mission, Values, and Promise.
Is responsible for performing all other duties as assigned
Required: Associates Degree in Nursing. Current RN license in the state of Ohio; BLS; ACLS. 2 years of experience. Ability to analyze clinical, financial and social situations, identify problems, and alternative cources of action.
Preferred Education: BSN, two rears of ICU experience. Willingness to be flexable, resourceful, and creative in problem solving.
