Senior Manager Platform Operations, eCommerce

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The goal of the eCommerce (eCom) team is to deliver one integrated consumer journey to create a premium and seamless experience so that we not only meet their expectations, butalsoexceed them while meeting our targetswhen a consumer leaves our touch point.

The PlatformOperations Senior Manageristhe key element in the interaction with our consumers, a core element to drive the business growth and the Consumer Experience, and a key contributor to the growth of eCommerce inMarketJapan by managing theplatform and connected systemsof adidas and Reebok online shopsto ensurethatthe content is published and all end to end process are running in their SLA. The PlatformOperationsSenior Manager is working closely with the global teams to drive the Platform Roadmap to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day business operationsof eCommerce Platform and connected System

  • Ensure the success of the eCommerce Platform operationstrategy through constant monitoring of the operational KPI’s (Conversion,Checkout drop-off,Transaction fees,Chargebacks,Fraud,SLA)

  • Review operational processes; Monitorand analyzetheplatform processes

  • Manage external service providers on a daily basis

  • Build collaborative relationships with other eCommerce functions,Marketing, IT, andOperations to support and achieve overall business objectives

  • Evolvetechnologies and their impact on the consumer experience

  • Establish a high-performance culture and drive employee engagement, leading by example

  • Identify and develop high-potential talents to fuelthe succession plan in the team

  • Look for opportunities to provide cross-functional experiences to identified high-potential talents from both inside and outside of the team

  • Ensure eCom operations and CX are driving the right priorities based on impact, time, and complexity

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Entrepreneurial mindset – Results & Profit oriented

  • Deep understanding of eCommerce Systems, Demandware and other eCommerce Platforms

  • Minimum 4-7 years of experience with broad and deep knowledge in eCommerce

  • Specify new processes, products and/or standards based on organizational strategy

  • Implement business strategies with some impact on business unit and function results

  • Steer development of recommendations with deep analyses and initiatives to complex tasks and projects

  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively inside and outside the level/function/organization, to accept new or modified standards or concepts with divergent interests, and to write and prepare executive-level business correspondences

  • Strong IT background and project management skill

  • Have extensive analytical skillsand proven negotiation skills

  • Proven leadership and managerial skills; Set clear objectives for team members; Accountable for performance and salary reviews; Provide expertise in supervised area

  • Strong experience in strategic and number driven senior management

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelordegree inStatistics,Mathematics,Finance,BusinessAdministration,Economics,orSimilarDiscipline

  • Minimum 3 years ofworking experience of a leading rolein an online consumer-facing high-transaction environment

  • Minimum 4-6 years of working experience in Consumer Experience in a global level

  • Extensive experience in managing eCommerce Platforms and Systems

  • Ideally have experience of working internationally and in settings requiring cross-cultural sensitivity

  • Excellent English skillsand Fluent Japanesepreferred
