What you’ll achieve
The Test Engineering team based in Austin is responsible for all Test Strategy, Planning & Execution. This includes but not limited to test case development, test tools enablement, and test automation for the system level functional and compatibility testing across Dell Client HW & SW Products.
The Security Strategist & Architect will act as a subject matter expert in the field of hardware and software security, responsible for ensuring our products are able to resist cutting edge hardware attacks.
Define and implements the strategy for validation teams and the role they play in Dell’s culture of security
Responsible for strategic security testing engagements with product teams and mentors validation engineers on security testing methodologies and techniques
Collaborates with platform architects, developers and testing/quality engineers to provide solutions for discovered security issues and provides product teams with scripts, tools and testing strategies
Responsible for the validation strategy to implement security controls, as well the response to security vulnerabilities
Collaborate and contribute to security testing community across the company to share best practices
Proactively identify new testing tools that help advance security testing

Advanced Degree in Information Security or similar technical field
8+ years working experience as a computer security professional
Subject Matter Expert on software and hardware vulnerability types and exploitation
Proven experience with industry security tools
Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, Security+ a bonus
Hands-on experience in dynamic analysis, container testing, fuzzing, OWASP top 10, SANS/CWE top 25, and vulnerability scanning
Ability to understand and leverage reports from scanners such as IBM Appscan, Nessus, Qualys, and Twistlock
Knowledge of how to test code and applications across various platforms (Linux, Windows, etc.) for security issues
Skilled in a minimum of one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Java, C, Ruby etc.
Strong understanding of the network stack, including ports and protocols
Experience performing application black-box and white-box penetration testing preferred
Experience in finding 0-days and writing exploit
Experience in extending the tools like ZAP, BURP…
Knowledge of reversing patch & exploring 1-day exploits preferred
