Golder is seeking an Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our Phoenix AZ office for a seconded position at a client site. The successful candidate will be responsible to assist with the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the client’s EHS programs. Job activities will involve working in the client facility, conducting EHS compliance audits, preparing regulatory reports, assisting with the implementation of EHS management systems, industrial hygiene assessments and sampling, routine and non-routine EHS risk assessment, and report preparation under the direction of a senior EHS professional.

Responsibilities of the role will include:
Implementing EHS compliance and programs to meet facility expectations
Development of EHS compliance plans and training
Development, implementation and assessments of EHS management systems
Assisting with regulatory reporting (Tier II, TRI, stormwater, air emissions, residual and hazardous waste)
Ability to understand and interpret EHS regulations (40 CFR, 29 CFR, State and Municipal equivalents), client-specific standards, and guidance documents to support development of client EHS programs
Project execution including preparation of proposals and project reports, project management, and delivering high quality work to meet budget and client schedule expectations
Required:
Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (may accept equivalent, relevant experience in lieu of)
Minimum of 4 years of relevant EHS work experience
Ability to work flexible hours
Ability to work in various weather conditions, using equipment that may weigh up to 50 pounds
Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills
Acute attention to detail
Desired:
Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
Experience serving as an EHS consultant or onsite EHS professional
English-Spanish Bilingual
