Karyopharm Therapeutics Inc. Operations & Office Manager in Tel Aviv, Israel

The Operations and Office Manager for Karyopharm Israel LTD will report to the General Manager, Israel. This position will also serve on the Global HR Team, linked to the functional Manager responsible for leading the HR operations activities for the Israeli and European employees. This position will also report into the Global Operations team based in the US. The role will encompass all Operations and Office management responsibilities as outlined below.

  • Manage office administration and be the focal point for all operational needs.

  • Coordination activities within the organization and with external entities

  • Manage office expenses, payments and support financial procedures.

  • Manage interface with all company service providers.

  • Assist in payroll processing, managing time off requests including vacation leaves, medical leaves, maternity leaves etc.

  • Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.

  • Update and maintain data in HR systems and provide support for employee questions.

  • Work directly with Corporate HR functions on recruiting, benefits administration, compensation practices and employee relations.

  • Serves as the local liaison to recruiting and temporary services agencies based in Israel establishing local contracts as needed. Scheduling and managing local talent acquisition processes and programs.

  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop local effective recruitment strategies and processes

  • Administer Onboarding/Offboarding of employees

  • Be the point of contact for employees, provide initial feedback and forward to the relevant stakeholders as needed

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Israel employment law and compliance requirements.

  • Lead administrative projects as needed

  • Manage company welfare activities and support corporate welfare activities.

  • Personal Assistant to General Manager

  • Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.

  • Other duties as assigned

  • 5-7 years experience in Operations and Office Management.

  • Biotech or Pharmaceutical experience preferred but not required.

  • Relevant BA degree.

  • Excellent level of English, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work with many interfaces in parallel

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced and dynamic environment

  • Careful attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organizational skills demonstrated ability to effectively organize and execute tasks in a timely manner.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team or collaborate with colleagues.

  • Highly proactive and ability to execute projects from start to end

  • Ability to work and perform in a complex and uncertainty work environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Flexibility to adjust working hours to other regional hours when required.
