Citigroup VP - Third Party Risk and Control in Tampa, Florida
The Risk Operations Senior Manager / Third Party Specialist Risk and Control Officer role will report into the CSS Head of Third Party working on the management of third party and include TPO actions to support over flow. This role will be focused on ensuring effective risk management practices are in place. This role will support Shared Services products to help solution issues. This role will work in concert with business operations and technology teams, as well as internal functions, to identify, manage and mitigate risk.
Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of Citi Third Party Risk Management requirements
Evaluate current market conditions and provide insight on trends/issues that may impact the business through the use of external Third Parties.
Perform analysis on third party data and document possible issues and solutions
Take on TPO responsibilities as needed
Verify third party’s compliance to required policies and controls
Partner with business operations, technology teams and internal functions to conduct on-site visits of third party, as required
Maintains and updates CSS Third Party Strategy Plans as required.
Interact with TPOs and business on escalations of non-performance or red metrics
In conjunction with the business and operations teams, review, prioritize, assess and act on results of TPRM assessments/controls
Monitor program issues or gaps and report as required
Define risk mitigation strategies and risk exceptions based on the business’ risk appetite
Draft and present succinct executive briefs; prepare and present high-level metrics to applicable Citi senior management and stakeholders
Other TPM or subject matter related duties as assigned
6+ years of relevant experience in, strategic sourcing/procurement, vendor management risk management and/or regulatory compliance in one or more of the following risk disciplines: technology risk, business continuity, operational risk, supplier risk, or audit and controls.
Broad knowledge of other risk areas, with strong understanding of supplier or third-party risk impact in a financial services company is a plus.
Exceptional technical skills (Excel, PPT, SharePoint, Collaborate, etc.) especially in Microsoft Excel with numerical skills and attention to details.
- BS/BA degree; advanced degree a plus and/or equivalent experience.
