VP IT PDO – Wholesale Credit Risk Programs Implementation Manager
The Wholesale Credit Program Implementation team is a specialized infrastructure, business and technology solutions team that consists analytical, technical, product, and regulatory subject matter experts. The team is responsible for Analytical Technology Program Delivery within Citi’s Risk Management IT Program Delivery Office.
The team is looking for a seasoned professional for the senior business analyst to support the risk technology solutions for CECL, CCAR and IFRS9. This role will work closely with Wholesale Credit Risk, Model Risk, and Technology. The WSC Program Implementation Analyst applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of modeling and reporting enhancements and the improvement of processes and risks and controls for the function.
Manage the implementation of regulatory and strategic initiatives, technology budget management in coordination with Technology, program management support, as well as communications and program management across Wholesale Credit Risk modeling and reporting enhancements initiatives
Independently, work with Risk and Technology partners throughout the end to end program implementation cycle to document business requirements, develop and manage project plans to deliver solutions that exceed program stakeholders expectations for enhancements to business processes according to defined success criteria
Conduct and manage periodic working groups with cross-functional teams for the assigned projects, drive the conversation and partner with Risk and Technology to deliver a comprehensive end to end solution
Resolve complex problems, perform data analysis and risk assessments, coordinate across multiple functional groups, identify gaps in requirements, acquire stakeholders signoffs
Demonstrate good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate complex and dynamic risks and issues requiring excellent communication and diplomacy skills
Manage program implementation processes, program tracking, reporting, communications, escalations, policies and procedures and strive to be considered the analytical subject matter expert representing the team on cross-functional project deliverables
Manage Program Management support, report project status, identify and communicate project risks, define mitigation strategies, manage resolutions, meet key sign off criteria
Provide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) testing support, develop test strategies, document test scenarios, coordinate the execution of test scripts, coordinate and perform UAT, participate in planning and coordinating all phases of testing lifecycle activities
Evaluate complex issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information
Regularly assume informal/formal leadership role within the team, involved in coaching and training of junior team members, influence decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration applying sound ethical judgment regarding conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
4-7+ years of relevant experience, within the Financial Services industry or Big Four consulting required
Wholesale Credit Risk, Capital Markets, and Risk Management experience required, Understanding of Stress Testing, CECL CCAR preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to comfortably interact effectively with senior internal clients, project managers and IT stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to quickly grasp new subject matter, analytical mindset to identify gaps and propose solutions
Project management experience and technical writing skills to gather business requirements documentation required
Well organized and good attention to detail, ability to manage tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes and willingness to ask questions and challenge existing processes
- Advanced Analytical/Quantitative field degree: Masters or MBA in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science
