As a SeniorMedical Coder you will be responsible for coding medical record charts for the appropriate ICD - 10 code(s) according to CMS and ICD -10 guidelines. Additional
Review medical charts electronically using acomputer
Code diagnosis and documentation information
Research and resolution of coding projects asassigned
Document requested information from the medicalrecord
Determine valid encounters including legibility andvalid signature requirements
Coder is responsible for meeting daily productiongoal and quality goals
Attend conference calls as necessary to receiveinformation and / or feedback
Adherence to Optum coding guidelines, applicationsand practices

High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
1+ years of professional coding experience
1+ years of HCC coding experience
Successful completion of a coding certificateprogram from the AAPC or AHIMA
