JPMorgan Chase JPM Payments - Global SMB Business Controls Governance Business Analyst - Associate in Tampa, Florida

We are seeking a motivated process improvement and control focused Senior Business Analyst to help enhance the control environment of the Global SMB business. The candidate will partner with the business, Controls, Risk Management, and Compliance teams to support the management of risks and foundational controls. The candidate will be responsible for managing control related projects maintaining business resiliency plans and supporting the control framework (e.g. retention policy, business resiliency plans, etc.) to maintain a strong control environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with the business and Controls to enhance the control environment across the business, including:

  • Issue Management: Support remediation projects

  • Controls Uplift: Conduct risk reviews / deep dives to assess control and process effectiveness, identify gaps, and ensure appropriate controls are enhanced or implemented

  • Monitoring:

  • Perform appropriate monitoring capabilities, metrics (KPIs and KRIs), and governance

  • Perform ongoing internal reviews to ensure compliance with internal and external policies and obligations.

  • Leverage metrics, client complaints, client adjustments and other sources, to identify potential issues

  • Work with teams across the WePay organization to raise awareness on the Control Program and aid in the development of a culture of governance and controls

  • Manage Foundational controls: establish and calendarize foundational controls, including Record Retention, User Tool Administration, Resiliency Plans

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Strong analytical skills and mindset; ability to analyze problems to identify root cause and identify solutions

  • 3+ years of risk/controls experience in the Financial Services Industry, ideally Risk, Compliance, Audit or other control function and payments processing industry experience is preferred

  • 3+ years of process improvement, end-to-end process reviews, project management, change management, and record retention experience

  • Ability to create executive presentations and communicate effectively with senior management

  • Organized and detail oriented; ability to multi-task, work independently and operate well under pressure and with tight deadlines

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Business Objects
