    Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist

    Department: Inventory Control

    Reports to: Inventory Control Supervisor


    Position Summary/Objective:

    The Inventory Control Specialist an instrumental role for Global Widget's success and future growth. The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling aspects of inventory movement, accuracy, assisting in root cause discrepancies and implementation of correction measures.

    Essential Functions:

  • Product Build Assembly in QuickBooks system by:

  • Reviewing material information to make sure all data is accurate

  • Entering data into the system accurately

  • Communicating with teams if questions are found

  • Working with QC to complete releasing products to Inventory

  • Communicating with Inventory team to complete transfers

  • Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Perform evaluation of inventory accuracy metrics and assist with development of root cause analysis

  • Assist with implementation of inventory control improvements and processes

  • Perform inventory transfers and ensuring the right product is assigned the right location

  • Perform all computer functions necessary to track materials

  • Prioritizes and plans work activities & uses time efficiently to achieve responsibilities & departmental goals

  • Assist in utilization of inventory warehouse space requirements to maximize storage effectiveness

  • Assist in planning & development of methodology for quarterly/annual physical counts to ensure accuracy

  • Assist with cross-functional department team members for alignment and resolve inventory opportunities

  • Follow company policies and cGMP practices for regulatory and documentation requirements

  • Teamwork, ability to balance individual responsibilities and contributes to a positive team spirit

  • Perform other duties and project as assigned

    Required Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years of inventory control or other similar experience or training preferred

  • Knowledge and experience with Inventory control in a manufacturing or distribution setting preferred

  • Problem Solving Skills

  • Intermedium skills of MS Office Suite required

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheets for data analysis

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to take initiative

  • Experience of inventory software, such as QuickBooks and/or SAP applications

  • Clear communication

  • Ability to type on a keyboard minimum 30w/m.
