GT Technologies Maintenance Technician in Tallahassee, Florida

Perform all tasks required under the direction of the Maintenance Manager. Perform scheduled maintenance of production and building equipment. Respond to equipment repair work requests and perform emergent equipment repairs. Assist Production and Mfg/Process Engineering as needed. Initiate and Implement Continuous Improvement.

  • Perform scheduled maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment.

  • Maintain, repair and improve mechanical components on assembly equipment.

  • Perform basic maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment.

  • Respond to manufacturing equipment failures and initiate timely repairs.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and maintain maintenance records in CMMS.

  • Maintain 6S standards throughout the plant

  • Repair/Rebuild equipment.

  • Initiate and implement Continuous Improvement ideas.

  • Assist with fabrication of items as needed by manufacturing.

  • Follow and promote company safety standards to ensure safe work environment.

  • Assist with improvements and changes to assembly equipment as instructed.

  • All other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required

  • Minimum of three years of experience in manufacturing, with at least two years in maintenance

  • Strong technical abilities and mechanical aptitude

  • Strong working knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes

  • Basic electrical and PLC knowledge

  • Advanced hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge

  • Proficient in the use of computer/iPad for CMMS systems

  • Highly motivated and able to work independently

  • Team player

  • Will have daily exposure to manufacturing environment

  • Standing and walking up to 100% of work time

  • Must be able to work an off shift (2nd shift or 3rd shift)
