WHAT YOU'LL DO
Primary Job Function
Provides independent evaluation of materials, components, and products, and work process within the quality system. Provides technical assistance to support efforts ensuring the quality of the product. Assists engineers in validation, testing and troubleshooting process to improve the processes and the products. Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve processes. Ensures proper performance of tasks from other peers. (No direct line reporting and people management duties are involved). Drives improvement and corrective action in the quality of components sourced from outside suppliers. Provides technical support in the selection, audit and evaluation of suppliers.
Core Job Responsibilities
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Generates and maintains Supplier Quality procedures.
Assists in generating management reports.
Analyzes incoming material defects. Work with Supplier Quality Engineers to drives corrective action as necessary. Communicates issues to suppliers. Investigates field failures related to supplier materials. Develops corrective action plan where necessary.
Reviews new design specifications and provides input from component quality, inspection and manufacturability perspective.
Initiates and completes technical activities. Prepares reports, publishes, and makes presentations to communicate findings.
Analyzes and solves problems of basic engineering principles, theories and concepts. Understands engineering principles theories, concepts, practices and techniques.
Reviews and verifies compliance of documentation such as batch records, reports of nonconforming materials, inspection records.
Assists supplier quality engineering in providing manufacturing support by reviewing and analyzing data to determine manufacturing issues and trends (SCAR Log, SCR Log, using systems source).
Researches and performs data compilation and analysis to determine process behaviors, trends, improvement opportunities, validation inputs, etc.
Resolves and prevents Manufacturing issues by assisting supplier quality engineering in determining root cause and implementing corrective and preventative action.
Inputs data to required systems. Like SAP, CATSWeb, and others, use includes but is not limited to run queries and/or input lots, test data.
Leads process and documents changes by identifying the improvement opportunities and executing all required activities to implement it as: generate documents redlines, write and summit Change Order request, form and guide the group involved on change, etc.
Contributes to generate work schedules when required by Supplier quality management or supervisor. Assists supervisor with delegation daily activities to other associates.
Use engineering blueprints, drawings and specifications to complete accurate measurement and inspection of parts for dimensions,
performance and mechanical, electrical and chemical properties;
Train others on processes and procedures impacting component and/or product quality;
Complete paperwork timely and accurately; prepare charts and write summaries about how well product conforms to existing standards;
Participate on cross-functional teams; offer suggestions to others on how to modify existing process or procedures to improve quality;
Understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures and guidelines;
Works under general supervision. Follows established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy

Candidate / incumbent will need to determine methods and procedures on new assignments with minimal supervision; may provide guidance and / or recommendations cross-functionally at all levels of the organization;
works under the supervision of more experienced staff who review work for overall accuracy, completeness and sound judgment;
recognizes risks versus the relative gains associated with actions;
understands critical success factors relative to scope of work and makes recommendations impacting applicable factors;
responsible to meet established objectives and goals;
drives functional performance to ensure that cross-functional standards and expectations are met;
errors or failures to achieve results may add cost and may impact the goals and timelines of the organization.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Two-year degree or/and 80% of university credits completed or certification in the area
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Communication skills verbal and written in English
Handles MS Word, Power Point and Excel at a basic to intermediate level.
Two (2) years of experience as a Technician or areas related or equivalent combination of education and technical work experience.
Experience using Minitab and other statistical software
Experience using in SAP
Experience with SharePoint
Experience in approved supplier list management
Experience in root cause and corrective actions
Understanding of process flow diagrams
Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals;
Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic root cause analysis and investigations;
Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications;
Ability to work independently and in groups;
Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior;
experience with and knowledge of quality assurance within a regulated, cGMP environment;
ability to utilize various software applications to complete tasks;
