Job Title: Senior Procurement Category Manager – (Sales Enablement).
Senior Procurement Category Manager for Sales Enablement in our new Consumer Health business, is accountable for all sourcing and contract management across their assigned categories. This will include the development and implementation of category strategies; the contracting for master/service/product agreements within the categories; the management of supplier relationships that fall outside of the enterprise SRM structure for these categories; and for ensuring the suppliers key to their category(ies) commit to deliver GSK’s performance/quality/financial requirements.
Details ( Your Responsibilities ) :
Procurement category strategy leadership for Sales Enablement, leading the development, management and implementation of comprehensive strategies globally that deliver the business requirements across assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and innovation.
Business Partnering with BU Heads, Financial Directors, and Commercial Leads to create sourcing strategies that optimize delivery – enabling sales in our must win markets and delivering the savings plan; plus developing new and innovative ways to uncover commercial opportunities and align them across our landscape of stakeholders.
Develop strategies with Sustainability, Diversity, and Responsible Marketing at the forefront of our delivery.
Lead high profile negotiations with large enterprise partners, extracting maximum commercial benefit whilst ensuring business needs are met.
Contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation, and maintenance; manages / monitors ongoing negotiations with 3rd parties.
Lead and implement key projects to support savings delivery, sustainability, sales growth, and risk mitigation.
Work closely with Global Delivery Centre and LOC counterparts on how global strategies, guidelines and principles can be embedded and executed against. BU strategies.
Business partnering & stakeholder management in GSK
Global leadership and global influence including business partnering of senior stakeholders
Build strategic relationships with GSK stakeholders including Global Sales, Expert and Commercial Excellence leadership and their teams, to understand business requirements, influence strategy, and identify opportunities to create value and to position Procurement’s value proposition. Align sourcing strategies accordingly
Manage senior level stakeholders and challenge thinking, strategy or decisions by bringing strong commercial knowledge and external market level insights into the business.
Lead stakeholder alignment and Plan delivery (Commercial leadership and Finance across the business)
Working globally across multiple countries requiring high cultural awareness and learning agility.
Work across matrix Procurement organisation to ensure global strategies and sourcing principles leverage scale and drive consistency in approach, but are designed with business input to unlock the right value for our regional BUs.
External supplier relationships
Lead SRM for key strategic vendors and embed a robust performance management, working across boundaries where vendors are shared across categories to ensure best enterprise management.
Be aware of external market dynamics, vendor base changes and other external influencing factors.
Champions the sourcing group management process and policies across functions and links these to GSK's strategic direction
Knows and utilises complex business processes in all GSK supplier transactions, including all risk/regulatory/compliance requirements
