Danaher Corporation Sr HR Business Partner in Sunnyvale, California
This role will provide HR partnership and leadership to our Global Engineering, PMO and Strategic Development organizations through the development and implementation of HR initiatives focused on achieving business objectives. This position is both hands-on with an eye toward strategic impact and planning. You will leverage your expertise in the areas of HR such as change management, coaching/development of leaders, organization and talent development, performance management, associate engagement, and more.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as primary contact for all associates in your client group building a strong business relationship with these internal clients and stakeholders. Develop a strong understanding of the business. Proactively support the delivery of HR initiatives and processes.
Identify opportunities for HR strategic influence within client groups and set objectives in partnership with leaders accordingly
Utilize qualitative and quantitative data in order to inform key business and talent decisions.
Act in alignment with, and set an example of our culture demonstrating inclusion and belonging, an innovation and continuous improvement mindset, and
Effectively drive leadership development, management/associate coaching, and performance management.
Lead and guide leaders through organizational design challenges through our high growth environment
Drive change management initiatives as well as anticipating the need for change and influencing before a crisis or inflection point arrives.
Play a leadership role in global HR projects and programs as needed
Provide guidance on, and help conduct, the investigation of complex issues and facilitate appropriate action based on established practice.
Resolve associate relations issues through a systematic approach with clear documentation and follow through
Support annual associate engagement survey and with business leaders, develop and implement action plans to address key improvement areas
Partner with Compensation on making recommendations for assigned groups on job creation/leveling for roles, review of relevant market data and subsequent communications/recommendations
Partner with Talent Acquisition to provide strategic staffing and recruitment consultation. May assist in identifying, interviewing and selecting qualified candidates for senior/critical positions
Consult on proposed promotions and help drive the annual review process.
Lead the development, rollout, and facilitation of associate training where needed
Actively identify areas for improvement (culturally, organizationally, process) and implement appropriate changes
TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)
- Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
Education and Experience (in years):
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, or Business Administration required. Or, equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level
8+ years of related experience
Knowledge and skills:
Experience in a HR Business Partner role, with broad experience in management coaching, employee relations, recruiting, compensation, training, HR project management and program implementation
Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes, etc., which govern employment policies and practices
Thorough understanding and application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards
Excellent planning and organization skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator
Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
Working knowledge of MS Office
Experience working with HR database
Strong business and compensation acumen
