The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for the go-to-market of Proofpoint Digital Communications and Compliance products. You’ll be part of global Proofpoint Product Marketing team who are dedicated to ensuring our products are differentiated and lead their respective markets. You’ll be the expert on our buyers and competitors and define how we can continue to build on success in the market. You’ll use that expertise to develop product positioning, messaging and content that differentiates Proofpoint products in the market. You’ll partner closely with sales, product management and marketing to build the go-to-market plan and execute that plan to achieve results. The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter, a diplomatic collaborator, a strategic thinker who enjoys rolling up his/her sleeves, and exercises sound judgement on when to push back and when to dive in.
Deep understanding of IT buyers, plus if understands Compliance and Legal buyers – who they are, how they buy, and their buying criteria
Understand the collaboration software or digital communications landscape
Create compelling content (presentations, web content, webinars, etc.) that highlights differentiated value to reach the target buyers
Understand and support various sales channels; create and deliver effective enablement content that helps sellers identify opportunities and communicate our unique value
In partnership with sales and product management, define go-to-market priorities that drive revenue growth
Develop marketing plans in conjunction with corporate marketing that align to defined go-to-market priorities
Plan the launches of new releases, and manage cross-functional implementation of the plan
Build strong working relationships across product management, corporate marketing and sales to achieve business goals
What You Bring To The Team
Expertise across the collaboration software landscape and how organizations purchase and deploy collaboration/UCaaS solutions
Ability to converse across technical and sales audiences with a concise message
Passion for knowing your market and translating that expertise to actionable go-to-market plans
Analytical mindset with ability to execute tactically
Demonstrated ability consistently meeting commitments with high-quality deliverables
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and projects
Demonstrated ability to develop strong productive relationships with sales and product management
Proven experience marketing to enterprises and technical buyers
Must be a strong collaborator and a solid writer.
Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
3+ years of product marketing experience in enterprise collaboration, security, or IT
BS/BA required, preferably in business or technical concentration
