Google M&A Integration Program Manager, REWS in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in a Program Management role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong client project and program management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end, manage long-term projects, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Adept at working on fast-paced deal lifecycles, with an organized, analytical, and detail-oriented approach.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and implement initiatives across a rapidly evolving client service organization.

  • Comfortable navigating in ambiguous environments and adept at facilitating team collaboration on solutions.

  • Skilled at influencing across all levels of an organization both internally and externally.

  • Systems-oriented approach to craft program deliverables, frameworks, and process improvements to develop a robust program for REWS M&A.

The REWS Program Management (PgMs) team provides strategic guidance, manages large complex programs and projects, and creates processes and tools to help REWS teams operate effectively. As Google continues to grow in scale and complexity, the Program Management team ensures that our internal processes and communication strategy are effective and efficient. We help REWS deliver on client needs and critical projects, providing transparency and clarity to all of our stakeholders.

The team brings together partners from across REWS and other Google groups (People Operations, Finance, Corporate Engineering) to coordinate and lead cross-departmental transformational initiatives. The team creates solutions, takes action, completes projects efficiently, and communicates updates to stakeholders (primarily senior stakeholders). The team are key thought partners to REWS leads and advise on decisions using a combination of analytical thinking, industry knowledge and deep subject matter expertise.

Note: This role sits within the REWS PgM team but is 100% dedicated to support our Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team with a strong dotted line to our REWS M&A Lead.

  • Lead Real Estate diligence and integration strategy for a number of Alphabet M&A deals. Coordinate across local and cross-disciplinary teams to orchestrate impactful integration planning and help to operationalize the strategy throughout the integration lifecycle.

  • Partner with Corporate Development, PA sponsor, and cross-functional M&A teams (e.g., Finance, Legal, HR, and Engineering) to conduct diligence and integrate M&A acquisitions.

  • Communicate effectively across M&A and REWS leadership to clearly articulate key decision processes and provide updates on strategic project status, costs, and timelines.

  • Facilitate a diverse range of acquisition integration activities. Oversee integration budgets, legal diligence, and onboarding processes. Problem-solve effectively if roadblocks and escalations emerge.

  • Identify opportunities to improve M&A processes. Collaborate on special projects to drive strategic planning and continual-improvement integration efforts.
