BAE Systems Provisioning Analyst II in Sterling Heights, Michigan

Job Description

Responsible to execute provisioning effort for assigned programs, including research, development, preparation, loading, manipulation and maintenance of provisioning parts data. Represents BAE with the customer for LMI provisioning efforts. Prepares provisioning documentation for delivery to internal/external customers using provisioning and sparing tools. Develops various provisioning and Logistics Support Analysis Records documentation in accordance with applicable military standards. Prepares technical portion of spare parts lists, Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD), Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB), Repair Parts and Special Tools List (RPSTL), and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs)/Electronic Technical Manuals (ETMs). May analyze spare and repair part requirements and provide programs with assistance estimating work in response to RFPs.

Prepares spare parts lists for government budgeting and acquisition by researching weapon system designs, engineering drawings, division processes, manufacturing and electronic data gathering systems, and collaborating with engineering personnel. Researches government specifications and understands fleet maintenance concepts.

Prepares technical portion of PTDs, IPBs, RPSTLs, IETMs and ETMs in compliance with military standards. Collaborates with engineering to determine life cycle cost and equipment support.

Supports preparation of proposal estimates for provisioning work efforts.

Provides project estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness of technical documentation.

Prepares for and supports provisioning conferences with government customers

Suggests changes to department processes and coordinates assessment and implementation of processes.

Assists in training of Provisioning Analyst and other personnel in provisioning group.

Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.

Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Relevant Associate degree and additional 4 years experience; or relevant Bachelor degree or and additional 2 years experience. Equivalent work and/or Military experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Computer literate with experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and Military Standards.

Relevant Bachelor degree and two years relevant experience preferably in a military or defense environment. Equivalent work and/or Military experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
