Resort Group Bell Person in Steamboat Springs, Colorado

You will work with our guest services division in providing exceptional hospitality to our arriving guests and owners. Be the first representative of our company to interact with our guests, and be key in delivering the best vacation experience to them, by being professional, courteous, and helpful in escorting them to their vacation accommodations, and assisting with unloading luggage and ski equipment.

The Bell Staff is responsible for the transportation of luggage and skis to our guests accommodations at check-in, or upon check-out, transferring their luggage to our office. You must have a main focus on safety as well as excellent customer service skills. Coordinating and communicating with the front desk and other drivers is essential for the function and effectiveness of this job, good English skills required for this task.

    Requirements:

    Minimum age of 25 for livery driver insurability

    Drivers license with Excellent Driving Record

    Physically able to ascend stairs up & down several times during day while carrying up to 50 lbs.

    Summary: Bell Person Escorts Guest from the Front desk to rental Lodging by performing the following duties in a courteous, helpful and professional manner:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Escort Guest/Owners from the Front Desk by vehicles in a safe manner to individual properties or central check-in area to ski area, downtown, Grocery Store or other local attractions during their stay.

    Assists guest with loading / unloading of skis, luggage or other personal items.

    Assists disabled / elderly passengers into and out of vehicle.

    Explains layout of residence, amenities, functions of TV, and Fireplace.

    Operates radio or similar device to communicate with Dispatcher, front desk, shuttles driver, and other Bell person to receive instructions.

    Delivers customer service by being Professional, courteous, helpful, and informative.

    Strives to continuously maintain basic knowledge of local events, local attractions, dining establishments, and other local areas of interest.

    Answers inquiries pertaining to resort services; registration of guests; shopping, dining, entertainment, and general directions around town etc.

    Promptly reports any accident to direct supervisor and follows the specified accident procedures.

    Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.

    Reports any unsafe conditions of vehicle, tires, or other areas of the workplace.

    Education/Experience:

    Minimum 5 years prior driving experience. This experience can be professional driving or gained through personal driving demonstrated by maintaining continuously a valid driver’s license.

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    Math Ability:

    minimum math skills required.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Certificates and Licenses:

    Valid U.S. drivers license with excellent driving record being maintained throughout employment for both insurability and reasonable assurance to safety. Must be 25 and older. Work Environment:
