Citigroup VP, Remedial Manager Officer in Stamford, Connecticut

This position is required to provide oversight and subject-matter coverage in several key Risk initiatives that will span multiple functions, geographies and segments. Oversight and advisory role in Global Remedial Oversight to assist in the quarterly processing of Individually Assessed CCAR/DFAST and overseeing Individually Assessed workflows and project support for enhancements and problem resolution of remedial used systems (CitiRisk). May be involved in diverse (cross-discipline) activities and must be willing to work on various credit related projects as needs arise, often without significant managerial oversight.

VP Position – Remedial Manager Officer

Global Remedial Group is an Independent Risk function supporting the Commercial Bank (CCB). This position is in the Global Remedial Oversight function which supports the remedial activities in approximately twenty (20) countries. This position is required to provide oversight and subject-matter coverage in several key Risk initiatives that will span multiple functions, geographies and segments. Oversight and advisory role in Global Remedial Oversight to assist in the quarterly processing of Individually Assessed CCAR/DFAST and overseeing Individually Assessed workflows and project support for enhancements and problem resolution of remedial used systems (CitiRisk). May be involved in diverse (cross-discipline) activities and must be willing to work on various credit related projects as needs arise, often without significant managerial oversight.

Responsibilities:

  • Support regulatory and audit (internal and external) reviews (including CCAR) to ensure the Global Remedial Organization proactively addresses requests and concerns.

  • Network closely with partners in other Control Functions and Businesses, to ensure consistent, insightful, and clear communications. Requires establishing rapport and trust with partners at all levels to support timely and consistent execution of appropriate policies and methodologies globally.

  • Support the CCAR/DFAST team under a capital planning sub-workstream.

  • Support Global Remedial system (CitiRisk) regarding problem recognition and resolution. Provide input and testing of required enhancements and fixes.

  • Support various sub-streams of Remedial reporting requirements as they relate to Cost of Credit, Collective Reserves and FAS 114 (write-offs).

  • Demonstrates commitment to champion Citi’s culture and ethical standards; dedicated to leading by example.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant experience

  • Highly motivated with attention to detail, team oriented, organized

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging

  • Sound verbal and written communication, experience with effective reporting to senior management and communication with regulators and audit.

  • Some credit project management skills demonstrating the ability to manage often complex and competing objectives and timeframes.

  • Understanding of reporting requirements and applicable regulations, guidelines, and practices.

  • Experience with and previous exposure to internal or external control functions and regulators

  • Proficient in computer skills with specific focus in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to learn and leverage varying business specific systems (i.e. CitiRisk) in performance of oversight activities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred Master’s degree or equivalent experience
