About Children's Minnesota Children's Minnesota is the seventh largest pediatric health system in the United States and the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from before birth through young adulthood. World Report as a top children's hospital. Please visit childrensMN.org . Department Overview The Social Work department provides emotional support and counseling to children and their families. They provide crisis intervention services, help with adjustment issues, grief and loss counseling, mental health assessments, case coordination, community advocate support, and short-term therapeutic interventions. Position Summary To provide clinical assessment, therapeutic intervention and resource mobilization for families and children who have complex psycho-social and emotional needs in a multi-disciplinary pediatric hospital setting. Pediatric social workers provide these services to children 0-18 years of age and their families. Shift / Hours: Wednesday and Thursday: 9:00pm to 7:00am Friday: 11:00pm to 7:00am Every other Saturday: 11:00pm to 7:00am Qualifications Minnesota state LGSW or LICSW required. Master's degree in Social Work. Knowledge of Community Resources. Experience providing crisis intervention. Two years experience with counseling in a health care related setting or two years experience in a pediatric related setting or completion of graduate internship in either of the above settings.
