Job Description

Hudsons Garbage in St. Helens Oregon is looking to hire for a CDL Driver with Heavy equipment experience. This position will for four 10 Hours days Wednesday- Saturday 7am to 5:30pm

Duties

  • 50% operating Loader equipment, Dozer, compactor and Forklift. The other 50% will be driving a Roll Off Truck or 53 Foot Trailer.

  • Performs preventive maintenance services.

  • Performs minor Repairs

  • Several pieces of yellow iron currently on site. Loaders, Grinder and Excavators)

  • Ability to efficiently operate bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor grader, scraper. Compactor experience preferred , but not required.

  • Customer Service Interaction

  • Operate yellow Iron to push piles and load trailers.

  • Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.

  • Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

  • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

  • Standard work week is around 45 hour's. Overtime is common.

  • $42,640 to $44,720 Annual Income before Overtime.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

  • Ability to work exposed to weather and dust.

  • Ability to operate heavy equipment is required.

  • Ability to work with the General Public

  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.

  • Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.

  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 2+ years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

  • Basic knowledge of computer skills.
