What you’ll be doing...
ASP Engineering manages a wide variety of responsibilities pertaining to the overall performance processes of Application Service Providers (ASPs), with the goal of providing the highest level of service to our customers. ASPs are external 3rd party companies that provide data, content, or other services which enable our commercial wireless data offerings. Additionally, we support internal business partners that support the launch of new products and services, maintenance window and break-fix activities, quarterly business reviews, and general Engineering and Operations activities. This is a fast-paced, challenging operations environment focused on continuous improvement of the proactive customer experience.
As a developer, you will be responsible for executing multiple automation projects that resolve complex ASP & Commercial Data System issues. The implementation of efficient solutions ensure that our Engineers have the ability to focus on what matters most, in addition to improving their ability to be proactive instead of reactive. You will utilize python automation expertise plus an understanding of the latest technology across the industry. Our goal is to automate both simple and complex functions, increase efficiency, and rethink methods of the traditional process by reviewing best practices and looking to standardize them via automation.
Work with our team of engineers on existing roadmap items, and determine new items to be automated based on day to day activities
Onboarding new concepts, building framework, and an end to end development to include testing through production. You will be responsible for the reliability, performance, and security of the automated processes.
Lead creative architecture build with advanced coding expertise to develop complex automated solutions during all development cycles including frameworks build, user interface design, and API data aggregation.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Three or more years of telecommunications and/or Information Systems experience.
Three or more years of UNIX/Linux experience.
Willingness to travel.
Even better if you have:
A degree in Computer Science.
Network and architecture expertise plus a solid understanding of business processes.
Expert level automation knowledge (Subject Matter Expert) of complex scripting solutions and automation system architecture, and system monitoring and troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and automation issues.
A Python Certification (PCEP, PCAP, PCPP)
Experience with API data aggregation.
Experience with Linux systems in an enterprise production environment.
Red Hat Openstack certification.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, load balancing, firewalls, HTTP, SSL, DNS, DHCP.
Experience with Gitlab.
Experience with VM structure.
Ability to translate strategic objectives into tactics and implementation plan.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to communicate cross functionally and at an executive level.
Ability to constantly drive the evolution of automation processes to current industry standards.
Demonstrated effectiveness with managing, driving, and executing multiple projectssimultaneously.
Strong leadership capability.
Ability to motivate and inspire the team to complete objectives.
Demonstrated history of leading and mentoring team members.
High organizational skills, process, and results-driven. Self-starter and autonomous.
