SME Web Content Coordinator in Southfield, Michigan

POSITION TITLE: Web Content CoordinatorDEPARTMENT: Information TechnologyFLSA CLASSIFICATION: ExemptThe Web content coordinator oversees the layout, visual look, and overall content of a website. They must understand the demographics and characteristics of a website's users and develop material that appeals to them.Web content coordinators develop, write, and edit Web pages using computer script languages such as Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) and JavaScript. They are in charge of the overall visual look of a website, including images, videos, and other digital media. They may use software such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Illustrator.Web content coordinators analyze and test all links and content to ensure that information is accurate, accessible, and user-friendly. They must also make sure the website is compatible with all Internet browsers and mobile devices. If any issues are found through testing or user feedback, they must find solutions.Technology is constantly evolving; therefore, Web content coordinators must keep up with current programming and technological trends.
