There is an excellent career opportunity with OfficeTeam for a highly motivated, self-starting General Office Clerk who is keen on working in the Government industry. Candidates who love organization, order, and people will be good fits for this essential role. There is a long-term temporary position open in the South Lyon, Michigan area. It is a General Office Clerk role, which will be responsible for performing various administrative support tasks, including operating office equipment and completing general clerical work.

Major responsibilities

  • Performing data entry, word processing, filing, scanning, copying and faxing

  • Interface with customers in a friendly manner

  • Delivering customer service quickly and accurately

  • Provide support to other employees with diverse projects as necessary

  • Answer telephone calls and manage outgoing ones as well

  • Provide front desk and receptionist support

  • Emphasize proper formatting and style when drafting correspondence

Requirements

  • Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

  • Maintain Spreadsheets experience

  • Answer Inbound Calls experience desired

  • Data entry experience

  • Deep understanding of Computer Data Entry

  • Basic Computer Skills experience required

  • Strong organization skills

  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

  • Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel

  • 1 Year of Office Clerk experience at minimum suggested

  • Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well

  • High school diploma or its equivalent is required

  • Qualified in handling office equipment
