Marriott Vacations Worldwide Housekeeper in South Lake Tahoe, California

To ensure guest satisfaction and safety by supporting general resort operations by cleaning and maintaining guest rooms up to company standards. Must be able to follow safety procedures and understand the safe usage of all cleaning supplies. Candidate will also be assisting in projects assigned as indicated below.

  • Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to the established standards and procedures including stripping rooms, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, cleaning the microwave, fridge, coffee maker, removing trash, and replacing amenities for guests

  • Maintain cart organized, stocked, and out of guests’ way

  • Handle all lost and found items according to established procedures

  • Leave all guest rooms in a safe and secure manner, that all windows and doors are closed and locked before exiting the room

  • Ensure that guests and their belongings are left undisturbed when providing cleaning services

  • Participate in all required health and safety meetings/classes and adhere to the Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention Program

  • Understand the safe use of all cleaning supplies

  • Maintain all equipment used in proper condition and replace when necessary

  • Inspect all furniture for repairs, report maintenance concerns to supervisor

  • Vacuum guest hallways when instructed

  • Window washing when instructed

  • May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects

  • Serve as Houseperson when instructed

  • Serve as Lobby Porter when instructed

  • Serve as Uniform Room Attendant when needed

  • Any other duties assigned by the Inspector, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, Executive Housekeeper, Operations Supervisor and General Manager

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent education required

Skills required:

  • Good verbal and writing communication skills

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Detailed oriented
