In our facilities in Solna / Sundbyberg we develop and manufacture diagnostics tests that improve patient outcome all over the worldThe main responsibilities of the Laboratory Associate are; to monitor the need of, order, un-pack and distribute laboratory consumables and supplies for the different teams in the lab, to manage the Retain storage of manufactured kit lots according to current procedures and lab-coat services (collect and send for cleaning).

Most of the daily work will be performed within an area that holds biosafety level laboratories as well as laboratories with cleanliness restrictions. Therefore, a general understanding of laboratory work and good laboratory practices (GLP) is required.

To be successful in this role it requires that the individual, with a limited level of guidance, is able to manage ordering of consumables, instruments and other material needed for the daily work at the lab-area at Cepheid.

It is also expected that the Laboratory Support Associate is service minded and supports the teams in the lab to facilitate effective and functional daily work in the laboratory area. This includes, but is not limited to, receive and unpack material, maintaining posted signs, checklists and instructions, providing clean lab coats, assist during external services/calibration.

If time allows, the Associate may also help the teams with defrosting freezers and other maintenance of equipment. All tasks should be performed with high quality and within timelines.

Minimum qualifications:

High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 1-2 years of related work experience or Technical Trade Degree with 0-1 years of work experience.
