IBM Data Privacy Specialist in SOFIA, Bulgaria

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • You are in charge of leading various initiatives related to data privacy at IBM's Technology Support Services team.

  • You interlock with various stakeholders to track compliance to different DPA (Data Privacy Agreements). In cooperation with procurement you track vendor DPA, maintain our subprocessor list, DPA exhibits and TOMs.

  • You work with the compliance team as their backup when needed.

  • You partner with sellers to analyze and document requests for DPA deviations.

  • You maintain up-to-date seller education modules on data privacy terms by updating the appropriate sections of the internal website.

  • You demonstrate self-confident and assertive behaviour when dealing with controversial matters, resolve problems and lead others by example.

  • You adjust your work schedule in a way to enable the most efficient communication with stakeholder from all over the world (Asia, Europe, Americas).

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, LGDP, CCPA, etc.) and practices (right to be forgotten, definitions of PI, SPI, privacy by design, cross-border issues etc.)

  • Excellent written and verbal English (B2 level or above)

  • Basic knowledge of project management

  • Previous experience in a data privacy role with capability to provide references and examples.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Cybersecurity knowledge is a strong advantage

  • Knowledge and experience in security controls and compliance in corporate environment are a strong advantage as well
