Avera Marshall RN-Clinical Informaticist-Long Term Care in Sioux Falls, South Dakota
JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Informaticist works collaboratively with Patient Care Services team, providers, and clinical users in conjunction with the Information Technology team to plan, develop, test, implement, evaluate and maintain clinical applications of the electronic medical record (EMR) and peripheral clinical software. The Clinical Informaticist serves as a clinical and technical resource for all supported disciplines and locations to ensure system integrity, evidenced based best practices, quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The Clinical Informaticist supports the integration of clinical expertise, technical skills, and industry knowledge when supporting the EMR and adjunct clinical software.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program or other clinical professional program is acceptable
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
2 years in clinical patient care experience is required
Clinical information systems experience is preferred
Certification in specialty area of practice is preferred
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier. Exceptional departmental needs may be considered to waive the valid driver's license requirement.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
