Avera Marshall Cath Lab Director in Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Primarily responsible for the day-to-day clinical operations of six Cardiac Cath Labs with regard to patient care management, resource management, fiscal management, knowledge and adherence to JCAHO, federal and state regulations. Participates in direct care as needed, with the remaining time involving managerial tasks. Collaborates with other team leaders in sharing of staff and resources, as well as assists in the cross training of the staff. Assumes the leadership role in individual area of expertise and for projects as assigned. Assumes, under the direction of the Laboratory, responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance.
Registered Cardiovascular Technologist or an RN with equivalent years Cath Lab experience required. Minimum of 3 years continuous clinical experience in a critical/acute care setting, which includes 2 years of recent management experience preferred.
RCT must have passed the Invasive Registry examination by Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI). RN must have a current South Dakota state license or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact. Current BLS certification required. ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment.
