Investors Bank Paralegal in Short Hills, New Jersey

POSITION OVERVIEW The Paralegal will assist the Legal Division by performing a wide variety of legal related duties including initial research, review and preparation of legal documents, act as a liaison with various internal and external parties and assist with bank-wide projects and initiatives. Provide primary paralegal support to the Legal Division attorneys. RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide primary support to the Bank's attorneys on day-to-day functions of the Legal Division and bank-wide projects and intiatives. * Assist in performing a wide variety of legal duties including preparation of initial drafts, research and address and resolve customer related legal issues and inquiries. * Review, negotiate and track various legal documents, including litigation pleadings, orders, subpoenas and governmental information requests, NDAs and vendor agreements. * Organize and maintain Legal Division's electronic files related to Division vendors and other various Division matters. * Provide assistance and support to Branch personnel and internal business partners to resolve various legal matters and inquires. * Minimun of five (5) years of legal experience is desired. * Paralegal certification. * Strong communication and organization skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel. * Flexibility and ability to meet short deadlines. * Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills. * Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment. * Excellent writing skills. * Ability to understand and learn bank software applications adn programs. DESIRED * Bank or Corporate Law department or small to mid-sized law firm experience is a plus. Certified Notary Public preferred.
