Responsibilities:

  • As main contact window in China to drive the CMF intent.

  • Engage and leverage supplier on surface finishing process development to achieve the project CMF goal. Working on color matching and formulation of coating and substrates.

  • Coordination on creation and distribution of reference samples and CMF target from supplier.

  • Engage stakeholders to understand and align on Visual Quality Criteria and Fitbit Quality Specifications

  • Define acceptable Quality Criteria and creation of Defect Sample Boards

  • Supplier Audit to identify capable suppliers, assess their surface treatment processes for capacity and quality.

  • Review supplier process flow, equipment selection, DFM, and DOE proposals which related to CMF.

  • Responsible for root cause analysis and corrective action plan implementation on CMF issues and risk.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience working in close collaboration with a US or European based company.

  • 5+ years of experience on mechanical process development, especially on surface finishing process (such as Painting, Polishing and Anodizing).

  • 5+ years of experience working with Asian suppliers and ODM/CM/JDM partners, specifically designing and ramping high volume parts and assemblies.

  • Need extreme sensitivity on color and visual quality.

  • Expertise in the areas of: DOE and SPC techniques, Six Sigma experience preferred.

  • Able to use 3D MCAD, Creo preferred.

  • Highly motivated to teach, learn, and contribute.

  • An ability to communicate well with cross-functional team members, efficiently collaborate to achieve project goals, and contribute positively to the engineering community.

  • Domestic and international travel up to 40%.
