Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Data Quality Analyst! This position can be located in Auburn (MI, USA), Houston (TX, USA), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Mumbai (India), or Shanghai (China). The Data Quality Analyst designs, develops, and supports solutions and processes to meet business needs and requirements. Applies expanded conceptual knowledge in Information Systems as well as knowledge of the company, key business drivers, and processes to develop solutions.

The Business Data Services Data Quality team is a cross-functional organization leveraging the power of existing Dow capabilities to enhance the quality of data resident within Dow’s operating & reporting systems. Primary focus areas are Data Governance and Data Quality capabilities. The position will support areas like Data Quality, Simulation and Data Visualization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Gathers and analyzes business requirements for assigned functional and technical areas using expanded conceptual and practical knowledge.

  • Works closely with business process teams, technical teams and other stakeholders to design and build objects which meet requirements.

  • Communicates effectively both within the team and with external stakeholders (e.g. businesses and technical counterparts).

  • Communicates status, metrics, risks, and issues on a timely basis.

  • Applies knowledge and experience in software development methodologies in order to support work processes.

  • Documents detailed designs.

  • Builds, tests and implements application objects.

  • Assists with issue resolution.

  • Helps ensure that functional and technical designs meet business requirements, conform to Dow architecture standards, and optimize productivity and long-term product/system vision.

    Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher.

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant IT / Business Process or SAP experience is required.

  • For U.S. Applicants : A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree discipline in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related discipline is preferred.

  • Prior SAP experience is strongly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of business processes at Dow (i.e. Order, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, etc.)

  • Ability to take initiative as well as strong organizational and communication skills are strongly preferred.

  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment.

  • Strong customer focused / client-facing skills.
