Citigroup Client Facilitation, Client Manager (VP) in Shanghai, China

  • Partner with Senior Asia Pacific/Global Investor Sales and Relationship Management to address and resolve client issues pertaining to Legal Documentation (e.g. ISDAs/CSAs), Regulatory Matters, Citi Collateral Guidelines (including their development and implementation), Onboarding Experience, and Ad-hoc requests including troubleshooting bespoke queries

  • Particular focus to be given to the Global Markets Platinum Clients and Regional Priority Clients

  • Proactive engagement with Senior Sales and Relationship Management on Client calls and visits to facilitate key initiatives

  • Subject matter expert and key point of contact within APAC Investor Sales & Relationship Management related to upcoming regulatory reform activity

  • Strong collaboration with internal Citi stakeholders including Legal, Credit Risk, Client Onboarding, Tax, Treasury, Client Strategy, Middle Office and Technology to review bespoke client requests, develop/implement guidelines, improve efficiencies and execute client strategy

  • Maintain strong partnership with Regional counterparts in EMEA and NAM to ensure sharing of knowledge and import/export of best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Investor Salesforce, Relationship Management, Senior Markets Originators (SMOs), APAC Regional Sales and Relationship Management Heads and Product Regional Heads to ensure Investor Sales Clients are experiencing best-in-class support in order to maintain/grow relationships with Citi

  • Ability to interpret current external regulations and internal policies and (quickly) apply to client situations. Coordination of internal Sales trainings and client education on Regulatory imperatives and contemporary Industry matters

  • Proactively reach out to clients to inform them of key upcoming regulatory initiatives with Citi

  • Continuous development of APAC Framework to mirror current internal policies in place for NAM/EMEA Citi entities

  • Continuous development of internal technology allowing Client Facilitation’s solutions/end product to be utilized by Salesforce and Internal Stakeholders


  • Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)

  • Self-starter with basic working knowledge and understanding of legal documents (e.g. ISDAs, CSAs, GMRAs/GLSAs, etc.), the Current Banking Regulatory Environment (Dodd-Frank, EMIR, FATCA, etc.) and the ability to navigate the internal structure of a large global organization such as Citi

  • Prior Experience (5-8 years) working in or supporting a Sales & Trading unit either as part of the Sales/Trading team, Legal, the Middle Office or Credit Risk. Solid Legal Documentation understanding/training pertaining to Derivatives Trading a plus.

  • Product knowledge including Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, Financing and Commodities

  • Solid PowerPoint skills and the ability to run internal/external meetings with minimal managerial guidance

Education Level:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably with a concentration in Finance. Masters/Legal Degree a plus although not required.

  • APAC Regional Travel (10%)
