Welder Operator

Are you extremely mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools? Do you have experience with welding? If so, you are the perfect candidate for our opening in Seymour! We have openings onboth 1st (7am-3:30pm) and 2nd (3:30pm-12am)! Pay starting at $15/hour. This person must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in a timely and efficient manner to ensure production runs smoothly. This person must also be skilled with math to keep an accurate count of parts produced. Responsibilities

• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, attachments, accessories, and materials on welding machines or worktable as required.

• Operates and observes machines to detect malfunctions or non-conforming conditions.

• Performs minor touch-ups by hand

• Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, surface plate, surface table, and hand tools.

• Visually inspects to maintain quality records with minimum supervision.

• Verify the quality of the work using inspection tools ( scales)

• Maintains accurate counts of parts.

• Communicates with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate job activities.

• Welding experience highly preferred.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand while performing duties.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time

• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
