The WBC Assistant Director coordinates the daily operations through active interaction with staff. The WBC Assistant Director will analyze contract content and compliance. The WBC Assistant Director will analyze program needs and promote and coordinate relevant trainings and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:* Master's degree with focus in social work preferred. Psychology, public administration, business, or related fields are also accepted. Multiple years program management and administration experience in lieu of formal education will be considered.* One year of experience in residential services for adults.* 3 years related supervisory experience.* Demonstrated accomplishment of program goals.* Knowledge/experience working with Veterans and the Veterans Administration preferred.* Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, Mental Health Chaplaincy training, preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:* Strong use of the English language in verbal and written communication* Excellent telephone skills* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure* General accounting or bookkeeping knowledge* Strong analytical and research skills* Ability and willingness to keep information confidential* Knowledge of federal, state, and local residential facility statutes and regulations; community resources; and social service programs.* Ability to engage with diverse populations in a respectful and culturally responsive manner* Demonstrates commitment to the values of equity and inclusion by honoring diverse characteristics and expressions of personal identity* Ability to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and support personnel.* Ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.* Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing personnel administration and government funding.* Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures that are necessary to maintain a sound organization.SOFTWARE-RELATED SKILLS:* Demonstrates expertise in Microsoft Office applications* Microsoft Outlook required* Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use, implement and provide training for key staff* Working knowledge of HMIS and Wellsky.
