Panopto Technical Product Marketing Manager in Seattle, Washington
We are looking for someone to join our team who brings that unique balance of technical product expertise, marketing creativity, passion, product evangelism, and operational precision. As our Technical Product Marketing Manager, you will drive top-line growth for Panopto by creating effective product marketing strategies and tactics. We need someone who can juggle multiple priorities, collaborate effectively across geographies and get the most out of every product and marketing investment, be that spend or effort.
Job ResponsibilitiesThis position is for a strategic thinker with a strong bias for action. You will:
Work with Engineering, own the customer-facing product roadmap, recommending appropriate communication plans to internal stakeholders, launch plans that incorporate customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence
Author feature briefs to articulate the user problem, use case and user benefits with clear and consistent positioning information for sales, sales engineering, marketing and leadership
Create working backwards documents to evaluate product development plans and help draft public statements that clearly articulate technology improvements
Execute on the product marketing plan using all available resources, including our website, video, webinars, content, PR, trade shows and other tactics
Provide live and on-demand demonstrations of Panopto to various audiences including analysts, press, prospects, and customers in webinars and product videos for our website
Generate sales content including presentations, scripts and client literature that communicates technology benefits to multiple audiences including customers, prospects, partners and internal teams
Own competitive intelligence, providing regular updates to colleagues on new and existing competitors in our various markets and territories
You?re not starting from scratch in this role and there is a huge amount of potential. We need you to have a minimum of 5+ years? product marketing experience including the following:
Work experience with video technologies, cloud, and SaaS with a demonstrable track record interpreting technical material. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge and/or a deep personal interest in a range of video technologies and techniques.
Proven, effective engagement with engineering teams and technical solutions.
Superior communications skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on articulating technology messaging into customer-friendly language.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
A self-starter with a hands-on approach to solving issues and completing tasks.
Strong analytical mindset, organisational skills with impeccable attention to detail.
