We're looking for a Principal Product Manager to help drive the strategy, direction, and rollout of our automated headcount management product, Roster.The Roster team is part of AWS FinTech, a 200+ person org that builds finance technology solutions that provide a world-class experience for our customers and help them make effective business decisions for AWS. The Roster team mission is to build a product that provides source of truth data for headcount at different levels and connects the disjointed processes of planning, hiring, transferring, tracking, and reporting headcount.This position requires a proactive, highly motivated individual with an aptitude for customer focus and critical thinking and who can initiate and manage strategic system development around the globe. This person will take ownership and drive positive change. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, is analytical, detail oriented, and possesses the ability to work well with cross-functional teams including world-wide AWS, finance, and software development teams.Job responsibilities:* Establish and communicate the product vision* Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories through frequent and direct contact with customers & partners* Collaborate with other product managers, user experience designers, software development managers, and engineers to define, execute, and roll-out features* Build stakeholder relationships and manage expectations* Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline* 5+ years of relevant software development or product management experience* Proven track record of delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives while managing multiple competing priorities* Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members* Experience with agile software development methodologies* Experience with professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycleAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
