Amazon Corporate LLC Principal, Product Manager - Technical in Seattle, Washington

As a Principal Product Manager - Technical, you will be responsible for the ideation, planning, execution, and delivery of one or more features related to a new product that sits at the intersection of Cloud, Voice, and Devices. You will drive the long-term strategy and vision, collaborate with business development and enterprise-class customers to identify and deliver new products and features, and iterate on the existing functionality for our developers and consumers.About you: You work independently. You know what it takes to build a product. Your technical understanding is sufficient to accurately represent a technology (benefits and risks) and evaluate its limitations and opportunities. Your work impacts a product's developer and consumer experience, usability, success metrics (e.g. adoption, sales, ROI), engineering team's goals, and organization-level goals. You define business metrics, evaluate business performance, and align a broad base of stakeholders behind an organizational vision.You balance your business expertise and product domain knowledge with technical understanding. You take the time to learn systems (e.g. functionality, architecture constraints, key dependencies, and maintenance characteristics) and reasons behind your product's technology design (Q: Why did we build it this way?). You are able to dive into technical details, probe assumptions, and provide feedback in the context of the longer-term vision and immediate delivery needs. You recognize when a proposed feature design or technology choice is going to complicate or pose a risk to future deliverables. You own product feature communications and work with stakeholders including senior leaders and partner teams.This exceptional role requires an individual with a track record of shipping devices/services, experience working with engineering teams and enterprise-class customers, experience working with partner teams across geographies, and stellar leadership skills to create a vision and rally teams around a common goal.
