Amazon Corporate LLC Principal Product Manager Technical, AWS Data Platform in Seattle, Washington

The AWS Commerce Platform provides the back and front-end services that enable AWS customers to purchase AWS services and understand and manage their infrastructure costs. Our teams tackle some of the hardest scalability, performance, and distributed computing challenges the world. We process trillions of events per month using stream processing techniques (Kinesis), process billions of line items via map reduce (EMR), and manage artifacts through the latest in database technologies (DynamoDB and Aurora). We process big data and provide tools for customers to interactively understand their bills. We also provide the analytics that let customers manage billions of dollars of IT usage and spending. Because we sit at the nexus of all AWS services and interact directly with end-customers, we also work closely across all AWS teams to ensure that we offer a great customer experience. Help shape the future of AWS Commerce Platform.As you could imagine, a leader in this role must have (or grow to have) broad understanding of many areas of AWS, and specifically what customers want from a service that abstracts and spans all of these capabilities. We are looking for an experienced product management to help lead the service.You will be a member of our leadership team and directly influence the direction of the service. This includes long-term product vision, feature definition, sales enablement, and marketing. You should be comfortable engaging with all types of customers ranging from executives and Fortune100 companies to developers at early-stage startups. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where delivery time for new products and features is typically measured in months. You should also be eager to mentor the product management team, including such areas as Business Info/Analytics, Product Marketing, and Product and Program management.The Data Platform team is building a multi-tenant Data Lake to cover all aspects of Integration and Data Management for cloud customers. The ideal candidate will help shape the direction of the AWS Data Platform offerings, and is excited about the incredible opportunity that cloud computing represents to provide customers faster deployments and more powerful monitoring and management of applications at scale.You will be working with R&D organizations driving product requirements and ensuring timely release of products and solutions, managing the complete life cycle of products and services you are responsible for. You will evangelize the cloud platform with external customers, prospects, partners as well as internal groups such as AWS Service Teams, product marketing, Sales, Technical Sales and Customer Support.Learn and Be Curious.
