Virginia Mason Medical Patient Access Specialist - Temporary in Seattle, Washington
JOB DESCRIPTION Job Number: 210204 Department: COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic DT Hours: 8am to 5pmThis temporary job (3 to 6 months) is focused on assisting patients with their COVID vaccination appointments with limited access to web based tools. This position also provides a high level of customer service in a manner consistent with VMMC's mission, goals and service standards. The role will be based in our Bothell call center.Qualifications:This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.Six months of office and/or call center, customer service or healthcare experience is required.Proven excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skills with an emphasis on organization and attention to detail required.Ability to problem solve and multi-task; keep confidences; knowledge of scheduling parameters, insurance concepts and patient registration software.Demonstrated basic telephone skills (transfer, conference, placing a patient on hold).Must excel in a team based environment with a positive attitude; be comfortable with ambiguity and have the ability to be flexible.Familiarity with medical terminology and proficient in Microsoft Office products.Previous call center, health care or customer service experience preferred.Just as Virginia Mason is dedicated to improving the lives of our patients and our community, we are equally dedicated to your professional and personal success.
