HR Consulting Manager
Provides leadership and consultation to develop, implement, communicate and evaluate key business and HR objectives intended to improve the Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Engagement (QCDSE) goals. Collaborate with assigned Vice President and Service Line leadership to develop and assess required executive, managerial, and organization capabilities. Provide direction and counsel as required on a strategic basis for all human resource matters, including but not limited to, performance management, labor relations, workforce planning and talent acquisition, compensation, rewards and recognition, and leave management and to ensure compliance with applicable Federal, state and local laws, policies, and collective bargaining agreements. Responsible for completing risk analysis and formulating mitigation strategies for all identified or potential Human Resource matters. Functions as an advocate for non-management employees, providing resources and support as needed. Coordinates and leads the services of other disciplines within Human Resources as appropriate. Helps establish the organizational culture and climate in which managers and employees prosper by negotiating, persuading and influencing leadership, work groups and individuals on a variant of work environment issues.
Coordinate and participate in special projects as assigned and provide general support to Human Resources departmental operations. Assist in the development of project scope and monitoring of project progress to assess/achieve success; maintain project records; and collect, assemble and analyze information in support of projects. Act as a liaison between and for HR functional areas to ensure proper alignment of projects to institutional and departmental goals, and serve as the primary point of contact for HR projects to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, consistency and standard processes. Participate in process improvement, policy and procedure development and interpretation, data analysis and research.
Functioning as a primary resource to employees and leaders, provides direction and counsel as requested for all human resource matters, including but not limited to, performance management, labor relations, workforce planning and talent acquisition, compensation, rewards and recognition, and leave management. Provides support and direction to faculty/managers regarding employment situations requiring work visas. Considers applicable Federal, state and local laws, policies, and collective bargaining agreements to ensure consistency and avoid risk. Coordinates the services of other disciplines within Human Resources as appropriate. Serves as a champion of the organizational culture.
HR Consulting Manager
-Five (5) years functioning as an HR Generalist at a senior level
Demonstrated skill and experience in areas related to Human Resources
Demonstrated knowledge of, and skill applying, local, state and federal laws
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or related field
PHR or SPHR certification
At least three (3) years of leadership or management experience
Human Resources experience in program or policy development and managing change
Experience in labor relations
Experience working in a large, complex organization
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business or related field, with coursework in Personnel and/or Business Administration; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of three (3) years experience working in one or more functional areas within Human Resources
Experience providing consultation to employees or managers in one or more functional area within HR
Demonstrated knowledge of, and skill applying, local, state and federal laws.
- PHR or SPHR certification
